#COLLECTION: Tzar presents Resort 2015



Ian Audifferen, Creative Director at African menswear label, Tzar, has been at it again. For his Resort 2015 collection, the designer seeked inspiration from happy holiday vacations. Soaking up the sun and being mesmerised by the the visual enthusiasms of images, colour and sights while on a carefree journey for a little bit of precious time.



Joy Ride ” – A collection of happy moments, inspired images, excited colours and frivolous sights.



Audifferen incorporates ‘my favourite elements of monochrome and bright colours in this play’; he also incorporates vivid prints and cuts the cloth in an oversized pattern to turn his laid-back t-shirts and sweatshirts into sports luxe goods.



The collection is a kind of playful, casual chic. It’s effortless, easily dressed up for the evening yet completely unassuming of its own presence. In presentation, Tzar has asked photographer, Jerry Rotimi, to take Nigerian male model, Victor Kwen, and ‘play nice’ with the clothes to create a simplistic yet communicative look book.

#NEWS: Emporio Armani Names Calvin Harris as New Face of Armani Eyewear



Fashion brand, Emporio Armani have announced Calvin Harris, DJ, songwriter and music producer, as the face of the new Emporio Armani 2015 Spring Summer Eyewear Campaign.



“Calvin Harris is a young cosmopolitan man, able to drag crowds with his music and energy. He isn’t a professional fashion model and this creates a more sincere and engaging link with my audience”, said Giorgio Armani.








The Grammy Award winning creative, who also happens to be recently named in Forbes Magazine as the highest paid DJ in the world (for the second time running), will also be the international spokesperson for Emporio Armani Watches.



Calvin Harris said, “It’s amazing working with Giorgio Armani for Emporio Armani. I feel a particular affinity with the ethos of the brand and I have always appreciated its style.”











We say, congratulations. We’re looking forward to seeing what the final campaign images are going to look like. Probably not disappointing considering the work done in past campaigns for Giorgio Armani.

After a recent encounter with the fabulous Siki Msuseni of All Things Intriguing, our Editor, Monde Mtsi, could not resist doing a look post inspired by the young stylist and blogger. The main trend: the Half-Tuck; a type of tucked-in/tucked-out situation that is all sorts of casual chic. What Monde discovered is that you can dress it up or down – all depending on your mood and possibly what you’re going to be about that day. For this post, he’s done a casual take on the trend, perfect for those hot breezy afternoons in Cape Town when one is planning on doing the sunset on a yacht. It’s easy, reliable, stylish, and all with very little pretense.
